According to the secretariat of the 11th Farabi International Award (FIA), at the closing ceremony of the Award, the owners of 19 selected national works (20 people) and seven selected foreign personalities in the field of Iranian Studies and Islamic Studies from Indonesia, Lebanon, England, Japan, Canada, Georgia and the United States, also, eight Iranian natural and legal personalities, including two pioneers scholars (deceased) in the humanities and Islamic Studies, two pioneer in the humanities of Iran, one top translator, one top theorist, one top scientific research quarterly and one top scientific association as selected or commendable were introduced and appreciated.
Among the 19 selected national works, 15 were doctoral dissertations and 4 were books, and in terms of age category, 11 works were selected in the adult section and eight works in the youth section.
In the special section of Farabi Award, the late Ayatollah Ebrahim Amini and the late Dr. Daryush Shayegan as pioneer scholars (deceased) in the humanities and Islamic Studies and Dr. Mansoureh Ettehadieh and Dr. Gholam-Abbas Tavassoli as two pioneers in the humanities of Iran were honored.
In this section, Hujjat al-Islam Dr. Najaf Lakzaei as the top theorist (proposed by the Board of Supporting Forums of Theorization, Criticism and Debate) and Abdollah Kowsari as the top translator were honored.
Among the research institutions active in the field of humanities and Islamic sciences, the Iranian Association of Cultural Studies and Communication as the Top Scientific Association and the Journal of research in applied linguistics as the Top Scientific Research Quarterly were awarded.
In the section of the recipients of the award in the scientific groups, Dr. Hossein Khandaghabadi a graduate of the University of Religions and Denominations with a doctoral dissertation entitled "The Gap between Moral Knowledge and Moral Action in the View of Qāzi 'Abd al-Jabbār and Abūhāmid Ghazalī" in the Adult section; and Dr. Seyed Morteza Tabatabae’i, a graduate of the University of Isfahan, with a doctoral dissertation entitled "Moral Principles of Modern Technology Using: An Integrated Model Based on Deontology, Consequentialism and Virtue Ethics" in the young section, were recognized as the commendable works of the Ethics, Religion and Mysticism group.
In the History, Geography and Archeology group, Dr. Elahe Mahbooub Farimani, a graduate of the Graduate Center of Payame Noor University, with a doctoral dissertation entitled "Review of Financial Offices in Safavid (Case Study of Astan Quds Razavi Dafater-e Tuihat)" as the 2nd Winner in the Adult section and Dr. Esmail Hemati Azandaryani, a graduate of Bu-Ali Sina University, with his doctoral dissertation entitled "Survey and Analysis of Handmade Troglodytic Underground Architectural Complex at Arzanfood in Hamadan" as the 1st winner of the young section of the 11th Farabi International Award were introduced and honored.
In the Law group, no work was recognized as a selected or commendable in the adult section, and in the young section, Dr. Fatemeh Fathpour, a graduate of Shahid Beheshti University, was recognized as the 3rd Winner with his dissertation entitled "Counter-Terrorism in the Light of the Human Security Doctrine".
In the Language, Literature and Linguistics group, Dr. Vahid Sadeghi for the book "Prosodic Structure of the Persian Language" published by SAMT Organization, as the 2nd winner in the adult section, and Dr. Ghodratollah Zarooni, a graduate of Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz for his doctoral dissertation entitled "Poetics of New Sonnet: Mainstream and Analysis of its Component, as the commendable in the young section were recognized.
In the Social Sciences and Communication Sciences group of the 11th Farabi International Award, which did not have a selected or commendable work in the young section, Dr. Meisam Ahrabian Sadr, a graduate of Shahid Beheshti University, with his doctoral dissertation entitled "The Case Study of Spatial Inequality and Its Associated Social Relations in Tehran (1871-1978)" as the commendable in the adult section was introduced and honored.
In the Educational Sciences, Psychology and Sports Sciences group that had the most works received by the Farabi Award secretariat, in the adult section Dr. Massoud Janbozorgi and Hujjat al-Islam S. Mohammad Gharavi authors of the book entitled "Principles of Psychotherapy and Counseling with an Islamic Approach" published by the Research Institute of Hawzeh and University and SAMT Organization as the commendable were honored, and in the young section, no selected work or commendable was recognized.
In the Political Science, International Relations and Regional Studies group, Dr. Abbas Manoochehri Baghbadrani with the book entitled "Beyond Suffering and Dreaming: A Referential and Paradigmatic Narrative of Political Philosophy" as the 3
rd winner in the adult section and Dr. Ali Esmaeili Ardakani, a graduate of Allameh Tabataba'i University, with his dissertation entitled "The Dialectic of Concept and Reality: The issue of immigration and the evolution of its concept in the European Union 2008-2016" as the commendable in the youth section were introduced and honored.
In the Quranic Sciences, Exegesis and Hadith, Dr. S. Mohammad Ali Tabatabae’i, a graduate of the University of Tehran, with his doctoral dissertation entitled "A Study of the Historical Context of the Belief in the Distortion (Tahrif) of the Torah and the Bible among the Early Muslims" as the 2
nd winner in the adult section, Dr. Zahra Kalbasi Ashtari, a graduate of the University of Esfahan, with a doctoral dissertation entitled "The theory of continuous revelation of verses in the surahs of the Holy Quran" as the commendable in the young section were recognized and honored.
In the Philosophy, Logic and Theosophy group, in the adult section, Dr. Seyed Jamaloddin Mirsharafoddin, a graduate of the University of Tehran, with a doctoral dissertation entitled "Practical Understanding in Aristotelian Thought (An Introduction to Practical Philosophy Based on the Aristotelian Phronesis)" and in the young section Dr. Mustafa Zali, a graduate of the University of Tehran, with a doctoral dissertation entitled "Necessity and Possibility of “the Absolute” in Hegel’s Philosophy" were recognized as the 2
nd winners.
In the Information Technology, Library and Information science group, in the adult section, Dr. Habibollah Azimi with his book entitled "Noskhēnamē (The Study of Iranian Codicology)" was recognized as the commendable and in the young section no selected work or commendable was recognized.
The Arts and Aesthetic Studies group did not have a selected or commendable work in the adult section and Dr. Seyyedeh Maryam Izadi Dehkordi, a graduate of the University of Religions and Denominations, with a doctoral dissertation entitled "Fotowat Nameh (Chivalry book); Mysticism; Crafts; Islamic Art" was recognized as commendable.
In the group of Interdisciplinary Studies, in the adult section, Dr. Mahmoud Zamani, a graduate of the University of Tehran, with his doctoral dissertation entitled "Economic Analysis of Morals in Contracts Law” as the commendable, and in the young section, Dr. Paria Parsa, a graduate of Tabriz Islamic Art University with a doctoral dissertation entitled "Defining the Model of Child Preceptor City from Islamic Thought Perspective" as the 3rd third winner were introduced and honored.
The juries of the 11th Farabi International Award in the Economics, Management and Financial Sciences group, the Jurisprudence and Usul (Principles of Islamic jurisprudence) group and the Islamic Revolution and Imam Khomeini did not consider the work eligible for the selected one or commendable.
In the international section of the 11th Farabi Award, James Winston Morris from the United States, Lynda Clarke from Canada, Heidar Baqir from Indonesia and Ali Mehdi Zaitoun from Lebanon for all their Research Works on Islamic Studies and Nobuaki Kondo from Japan, Susan Roaf from England And Grigol Beradze from Georgia were nominated to receive the award for all their Research Works on Iranian Studies.
