According to the public relations report of the Permanent Secretariat of Farabi International Award, Dr. Reza Gholami, Director of the Institute for Cultural and Social Studies the head of the Permanent Secretariat of Farabi International Award, dispatched a message to Dr. Mubina Moker, a prominent Iranologist from Bosnia and Herzegovina and honored her as an influential scientific and cultural figure. Dr. Gholami’s message is as follows:
In the Name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
It gives me and the Honorable Minister of Science, Research, and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran great delight that Dr. Mubina Moker, a renowned Iranologist from the friendly country of Bosnia and Herzegovina, will be present to receive the award at the 13th Farabi International Award, the most prestigious scientific Award in the field of humanities and Islamic sciences.
Dr. Mubina Moker is a great scholar who has enthusiastically dedicated her life to studying and imparting knowledge of Iranian and Islamic culture and civilization, particularly the Persian language and literature and she has contributed notable works in this field by writing or translating them.
Fortunately, Bosnia and Herzegovina includes many high examples of scholarship on Persian literature and language because of its long search for culture and meaning. These include great investigations in the field of Islamic mysticism and Sufism as well as the predominance of attention to Rumi and Masnavi in the literary and elite circles.
What is not overlooked is the contribution of the shared Islamic and cultural values of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Iran to the development of Iranology, particularly the Persian language and literature. The establishment and successful continuance of the intellectual initiative of Dr. Mubina Moker were made possible by these shared interests that served as strong foundations.
It should not be doubted that the presence of blessed personalities like Dr. Mubina Mokar is a source of pride for the scientific community of Iran, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and of course the entire Islamic world, and that is why honoring her can be considered as honoring the field of science, culture and spirituality.
From Almighty Allah we ask Dr. Mubina Moker good health and increasing success, and I hope that in the future we will continue to see great works by Dr. Mubina Moker in the glorious field of Iranian-Islamic culture and civilization. Also, I would like to express my gratitude to the esteemed organizers of the meeting in Sarajevo, especially my loved ones at the Ibn Sina Scientific-Research Institute.
