According to the Permanent Secretariat of the 10th Farabi International Award, the closing ceremony of the Farabi International Award was held on Sunday, January 27th, 2019 at the Iran International Conference Center with the presence of Dr. EshaqJahangiri, the first vice president of Hassan Rouhani'sgovernmen, Dr. SorenaSattari, vice president for science and technology under President Hassan Rouhani, Dr. MansoorGholami, Minister of Science, Research and Technology, and Head of the 10th Farabi International Award, Dr. GholamrezaGhaffari, Head of the Deputy for Socio-Cultural Affairs of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and the Award Secretary, Dr. HosseinMirzaei, Head of the Farabi International Award Secretariat, and a group of university chancellors, rectors of higher education institutes, research institutes, the professors and scholars of the Humanities and Islamic Studies.
In the 10th edition of Farabi Award, which began its work in March 2018, a total of 5649 works were received, including 5171 National works and 478 works related to the international section. The received works in the internal department were evaluated in 14 scientific groups.
In this edition, of the total works received in the national section, 16 works and scholars were appreciated. A grandPrize was also given to the Interdisciplinary Studies section. In the International section, 7 scholars were selected as well.
Farabi International Award focused on various aspects of research activities. So, in addition to the research works those are independently evaluated, apart from the author of the work, the influential individuals and institutions in the research were also appreciated, and from 13 individuals and institutions with titles; Pioneer Scholars (deceased) in Humanities of Iran.
