The Recipients of the Awards of the 12th FIA were introduced

The closing ceremony of the 12th Farabi International Award (FIA) on the ‘Humanities and Islamic Studies’ was held on Sunday, July 18 with a message of the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In the ceremony which was held virtually and only in the presence of a limited number of domestic winners in compliance with health protocols due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus, 37 winners in the domestic section and foreign section were honored.
According to the secretariat of the FIA,  the owners of 19 selected or commendable works in the Domestic Section and seven selected foreign figures in the field of Iranian Studies and Islamic Studies, and also11 selected figures in the other section including pioneer scholars (Deceased) in the Humanities and Islamic Studies, pioneer personalities in the field of Humanities and Islamic Studies, one top translator, one top theorist, one top scientific association and one top Scientific Journal were introduced and honored in the presence of the scientific and state officials including, Dr. Sorena Sattari, Vice President for Science and Technology and the President of the National Elite Foundation;  Dr. Mansour Gholami, Minister of Science, Research and Technology; and Gholam Ali Haddad-Adel, president of the Academy of Persian Language and Literature.
Following the call of the 12th Award, 4458 works were submitted in the domestic section in 15 scientific groups and 281 works were submitted in the Foreign Section.
Among the works evaluated by scientific groups, finally, 19 works were introduced as selected or commendable in the Domestic section by the 15 scientific committees. Also, in the Foreign Section, seven prominent scholars were introduced and honored in the field of Iranian Studies and Islamic Studies.
In the ceremony, the late Dr. Seyed Asaad Sheykh-ol-Islami, the late Dr. Davood Feirahi, the late Dr. Ezzatollah Negahban were honored as the pioneers (Deceased) in the Humanities and Islamic studies; Dr. Jaleh Amouzgar, Ayatollah Seyed Mohsen Kharazi, Dr. Seyed Mohammad Razavi, and Dr. Ziya Movahed were honored as pioneers in the Humanities and Islamic studies; Dr. Mohammad Reza Rikhtegaran was honored as the top theorist and Dr. Manouchehr Sanei Dare Bidi was honored as the top translator.
In the Research Institutions section (Top Scientific Association and Top Scientific Journal , the Iranian Curriculum Studies Association (ICSA) and the International Journal of Information Science and Management (IJISM) were selected as the winners.
In the Foreign Section, Dr. Adriano Valerio Rossi from Italy, Dr. Pierre Lecoq from Belgium, Dr. Arif Naushahi from Pakistan, and Dr. Enayatullah Shahrani from Afghanistan were selected for their total works in Iranian Studies; Dr. Alexey khismatulin from Russia was selected for his total works in the Islamic Studies, and Dr. Mirza Mola Ahmad from Tajikistan and Dr. Birgitt Hoffmann from Germany were selected and honored for their total works in the Islamic Studies and Iranian Studies.

In the Domestic Section (15 scientific groups), in the Ethics, Religion and Mysticism group, Dr. Fatima Tofighi with a book entitled ‘Paul's Letters and the Construction of the European Self’ was introduced as commendable in the Adult Section and Dr. Somaye Khademi with a dissertation entitled ‘Analysis of the Nature of Inspirations of the Heart According to Ruzbahan Baghli and Ibn Arabi’ was introduced as commendable in the Young Section.
In the History, Geography, and Archaeology group, Dr. Ali Akbar Mesgar with a doctoral dissertation entitled ‘Formation, Thought, Construction and Functioning of the Sassanid Dynasty in the Third Century AD’ was introduced as the 2nd Winner in the Adult Section. The jury did not consider any work eligible for the selected or commendable work in this group.
In the Law group, Dr. Fardin Moradkhani with a book entitled ‘Constitutionalism Preliminaries (Iranian familiarity with legal concepts in the era of Qajar)’ was introduced as commendable in the Adult Section and Dr. Seyed Shahaboddin Mosavizadeh Markeah with a dissertation entitled ‘Cultural Prerequisite of Law Abiding; Case Study: Iran’ was introduced as commendable in the Young Section.
In the Language, Literature and Linguistics group, Dr. Mohammad Rasekh Mahand with a book entitled ‘Persian Syntax; a Functional-Typological Approach’ was introduced as commendable in the Adult Section, also Dr. Saeed Mahdavifar with a dissertation entitled ‘An Analytic Glossary of Divan Khaqani’s Cultural Background’ was introduced as commendable in the Young Section.
In the Social Sciences and Communication Sciences group, Dr. Yaser Bagheri with a dissertation entitled ‘Social Policy Field in Iran; Analyzing of Power Relations in Social Policy Process in Iran (1997-2015)’ was introduced as commendable in the Adult Section, and Dr. Shiva Alinaghian with a dissertation entitled ‘Mothering: Intersectionality of Gender and Other Social Systems: An Autoethnography’ was selected as the 1st winner in the Young Section.
In the Economics, Management and Finance group, Dr. Mohammad Amir Rizvandi with a dissertation entitled ‘Investigating the Priority of Institutions in Transition to the Knowledge-based Economy in Iran’ was introduced as commendable in the Adult Section. The Young Section in this group didn’t have any selected or commendable work.
In the Political Sciences, International Relations and Regional Studies group, Dr. Ahmad Mehraban Dafsari with a dissertation entitled ‘The Analysis of the Religious Radicalism in the Middle East Applying the Notion of New-Asabiyyah (A Case Study: the Salafi-Takfiri Group of ISIS)’ was introduced as commendable in the Adult Section, and Dr. Ali Nazifpour with a thesis entitled ‘Exceptionalism and Iranian Foreign Policy’ was introduced as commendable in the Young Section.
In the Quranic Sciences, Exegesis and Hadith group, Dr Mahdi Habibollahi with a book entitled ‘Pragmatic Analysis of the Similar Statements in the Quran’ was introduced as commendable in the Adult Section and Dr. Hamed Dehghani Firouzabadi with a thesis entitled ‘Source Oriented Approach to Shiite Hadith in Semantics of Quranic Terms (Foundations, Approaches & Samples)’ selected as the 3rd winner in the Young Section.
In the Philosophy, Logic and Theosophy group, Dr. Mahmud Hedayatafza with a Dissertation entitled ‘Meaningfulness of Essential Divine Attributes in Light of Conceptual Synonymity of Attributes (Focusing on the Ideas of Ibn Sina and Ahmad Ahsaei)’was introduced as commendable in the Adult Section and Dr. Seyed Masoud Hosseini Tushmanlouei with a dissertation entitled ‘Truth in Plato from the Perspective of Heidegger and Gadamer’ was selected as the 2nd winner in the Young Section.
In the Information Technology, Library and Information Science group, Dr Zahra Naseri with a dissertation entitled ‘Modeling the Effectiveness of Content Marketing in the Publishing Industry of Iran’ was introduced as commendable in the Adult Section. No works introduced as selected or commendable in the Young Section.
In the Arts and Aesthetic Studies group Dr. Mohammad Fadaei with a thesis entitled ‘Research in the Historical Course and Evolution of the Concept of Principles in the Tradition of Calligraphy and Related Persian texts’ was introduced as commendable in the Adult Section, and Dr. Hossein Nakhaei with a book entitled ‘The Great Mosque of Varamin: The Process of Formation and Evolution’ selected as 2nd Winners in the Young section.
The juries of the 12th FIA did not consider any work eligible for the selected or commendable work in the Educational Sciences, Psychology and Sport Sciences group, the Jurisprudence and Usul group, the Studies on the Islamic Revolution and Imam Khomeini group and Interdisciplinary Studies group.
