Patrick Ringgenberg Attends Second Scientific Session of the Eighth Farabi International Award

The second session of the Eighth Farabi International Award was attended by Dr. Patrick Ringgenberg, researcher of the Institute of ‘Culture, Religion, and Modernity’ at the University of Lausanne and winner of the sixth Award, and Dr. Ahmad Shakeri, researcher of the Faculty of Cultures and Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Paris-Sorbonne, the Information and Advertising Department of the Secretariat of the Eight Farabi International Award reported.

In this meeting, which was held on Saturday, May 14, Ringgenberg gave a speech on the subject of “Interdisciplinary Studies in Art” and Shakeri talked about Islamic art and its relationship with different Iranian, Turkish, and Arabic cultures.

Ringgenberg graduated from the University of Geneva, Switzerland, in 2010 with a doctorate degree in Art History, and is working as a researcher at the Institute of ‘Culture, Religion, and Modernity’ at the University of Lausanne. He was elected a winner at the international part of the Sixth Farabi Award. He has published several books, including “A Guide to Iran’s Culture” and “Ornaments in Islamic Arts”.

The meeting was held from 11 to 12 and attended by the members of the Institute. The meeting minutes will be made available on this website later on.
