Farabi International Award

Head of the Permanent Secretariat of Farabi International Award signed a memorandum of understanding for joint scientific activities, especially with regards to the exchange of professors and students and supporting the establishment of Farabi Studies at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

Dr. Hosein Mirzaei travelled to Almaty, Kazakhstan, to attend the third conference on commemoration of Hakim Abu Nasr Farabi and visit Kazakhstan’s universities, the Information and Advertising Department of the Secretariat of the Eight Farabi International Award reported.

During the three-day trip, he visited Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty and signed the MoU with this science center on the sideline of the third conference on commemoration of Hakim Abu Nasr Farabi and the second joint conference of Shahid Beheshti University and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

At the conference, Mirzaei gave a speech on the “Farabi Utopia and Its Social Contexts” and introduced the Eighth Farabi International Award to researchers who may want to send their works.

On this trip, Director of the Institute of Social and Cultural Studies visited Kazakhstan’s Institute of Oriental Studies and met and talked with Professor Abdul Sattar, the director of the Institute.
