7 Foreign Winners Are Praised in FIA Closing Ceremony

7 selected foreign works on Iranian Studies and Islamic studies were praised at the closing ceremony of the 8th Farabi International Award.

Hassan Rouhani, President of Iran, Dr. Mohammad Farhadi, Minister of Science, Research, and Technology, and Dr. Seyed Zia Hashemi, Deputy Minister of Science, Research and Technology for Cultural and Social Affairs and the Award Secretary gave a speech at the ceremony, the Information and Promotion Department of the Secretariat of the 9th Farabi International Award reported.

The ceremony was held on Sunday, February 12, and the Iranian President presented the winners with letters of appreciation and cash donations.

Ulrich Marzolph, Vladimer Ivanov, Willem Floor, Francis Richard, Pierfrancesco Callieri, and Victor Alkek received their rewards for their works on Iranian Studies, and Bruno Overleat received his for writing the book “Iron Age in Poshtkouh, Lorestan”.

Their rewards included the Presidential Letter of Appreciation, ISESCO’s Letter of Appreciation, UNESCO’s Letter of Appreciation, Award Memorial, and cash donation.
